Where are the advantages of PP decorative film?

As a new type of environmentally friendly material, PP decorative film has demonstrated significant advantages in the field of home decoration, mainly in three aspects: environmental friendliness, durability, and functionality.

Outstanding environmental performance：

PP decorative film uses food-grade polypropylene raw materials, which do not contain volatile harmful substances such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and toluene. During the production process, no plasticizers are used. When burned, it only decomposes into water and carbon dioxide, meeting the EU ROHS standards. Its melting point is as high as 167℃, far exceeding the 70℃ of PVC film. It can withstand temperatures above 130℃ and is suitable for steam disinfection scenarios. Moreover, it can dissolve in the soil.

Excellent durability：

Through synchronous embossing technology, PP film can truly reproduce natural material textures such as wood grain and stone texture, with simultaneous touch and visual effects. The surface adopts EB treatment technology, featuring super scratch resistance, anti-fingerprint, and anti-stain properties. The wear resistance coefficient is above 0.4, and it has excellent waterproof and moisture-proof performance.

Widely applicable：

It is suitable for indoor decoration such as furniture, flooring, wall panels, and ceilings, as well as public spaces such as hotels, hospitals, and high-speed railways. Its lightweight characteristic (density 0.9g/cm³) and customizability (supporting a width adjustment of 500-1450mm) meet diverse needs.

Compared with traditional PVC film, PP decorative film has more advantages in terms of high-temperature resistance, environmental safety and service life. However, it faces technical challenges such as poor color performance and difficult adhesion. With the improvement of modification processes, PP film is becoming the preferred material for full-home customization and high-end decoration.
